1. Agreement to terms

By downloading, installing, or using the RefluSense application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Not a Medical Device

RefluSense provides tools for tracking meals and symptoms related to acid reflux. RefluSense is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice.

  • All information provided by the AI is for educational and informational purposes only
  • The App is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice
  • Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical conditions or symptoms
  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment based on information from this App

3. Assumption of risk

You use this App and all provided suggestions at your own clinical and personal risk. The developer of RefluSense is not responsible for any health consequences, decisions, or outcomes resulting from your use of the App or any AI-generated content within it.

4. Subscription and free trial

RefluSense offers a free 4-day trial period for new users. After the trial period ends, a subscription fee of $8.99 per month will be charged to your account via Google Play or the App Store unless you cancel before the trial ends.

  • You will receive a reminder notification before the trial ends
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time before the billing date
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of Google Play or the App Store

5. Subscription restoration

If you have previously subscribed to RefluSense Premium and wish to restore your subscription on a new device or after reinstalling the App, use the "Restore" option available in the app. Restoration is handled through your Google Play or App Store account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use RefluSense only for its intended purpose of personal health and meal tracking. You must not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App's infrastructure
  • Use the App on behalf of any other person without their knowledge and consent

7. AI-generated content disclaimer

The food safety assessments, reflux risk analyses, weekly summaries, monthly reports, and meal plans generated by RefluSense are produced by artificial intelligence models. These outputs:

  • Are based on general nutritional knowledge, not your specific medical history
  • May not be accurate for individuals with specific medical conditions or allergies
  • Should be treated as informational starting points, not clinical recommendations
  • Are not reviewed or validated by licensed healthcare professionals

8. Intellectual property

All content within the RefluSense App, including but not limited to the interface design, logos, text, and functionality, is the property of the App's developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of RefluSense shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of health, personal injury, or any other damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. Your right to use the App terminates automatically if you violate any provision of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from the use of the App will be handled in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.

12. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms in the App or on this webpage. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
